I chose to end this collection with another hymn full of hope and glory and joy. Following a raucous opening giving the impression of a grand brass fanfare, the prelude launches into the statement of the tune proper found amongst a flurry of sixteenth note patterns in the right hand that create an inner rhythmic drive over powerful and syncopated left hand octaves. The left hand becomes more animated, yet the rhythmic momentum continues to push the piece forward to its conclusion. There is the sense of timpani beating as the full orchestra comes to bear in a vibrant and unapologetically joyous finale.
