Piano Music

Piano Player

Turning almost 180 degrees from the previous prelude, Op. 2, No. 3 is a very tender, sentimental waltz with a sense of melancholy mixed with hopefulness. The inner melodic lines intertwine with the main melody creating the feeling of a string quartet. There is an aura of resignation that permeates the music, only briefly interrupted by glimpses of hope: a dream of what could be struggling against the way things are in the light of day.
